In 1999, Marcel N. Olariu founded KINGDOM as a small shop. As a third generation European craftsman with a formal education in architecture, Marcel desired to make high-quality, furniture-grade custom cabinetry for residential customers.

KINGDOM quickly became known in the booming Atlanta construction market as a company focused on integrity, promptness, quality and overall great service. As a result of the great reputation, Kingdom clientele expanded rapidly with architects, builders, contractors, interior designers and homeowners.

The growth of the company has brought KINGDOM to its current facility in Lawrenceville, which is now home to our offices, showroom, and manufacturing facility. In our state-of-the art 40,000-square-foot facility, we combine old-school handcrafted skill with the latest technology in all aspects of manufacturing and finishing.

Today, KINGDOM is one of the leading national designers and manufacturers of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. Our tailored cabinetry is custom from start-to-finish, designed to accommodate the homeowners individual taste and personality.

Marcel Nicolae Olariu was born in Romania into a Christian family and raised in the home of a master carpenter. His upbringing was deeply rooted in faith, humility, and an unwavering work ethic. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and approaching every task with purpose and integrity. When his family moved to the United States, Atlanta became home, where he and his family have lived for the past 40 years.

Marcel's academic journey led him to Georgia Tech, where he studied architecture. Following graduation, he married the love of his life, Mirela, and together they built a family with their three exceptional children: Rahela, Rebeca, and Caleb.

KINGDOM was born from a combination of craftsmanship, necessity, and faith. Marcel's journey began years earlier, working alongside his father in their small shop at home. What started as a hands-on education in craftsmanship years later eventually became the foundation of KINGDOM and a way to provide for his young family. Through every season, Marcel has recognized the sovereign hand of God at work in his life. His faith has shaped his perspective on adversity, teaching him to see challenges as opportunities to grow, persevere, and humbly rise higher.

At KINGDOM, principles matter as much as craftsmanship. Marcel believes that a company's true strength lies in the character of its people, which is why he is committed to building a team that shares his values, integrity, and dedication to excellence.
